Dantuff-Z - Broad spectrum anti-dandruff active


Used in opaque formulations, Dantuff-Z (48%) is a white-coloured liquid suspension of Zinc Pyrithione, one of the most widely used and effective broad spectrum anti-dandruff actives. It can be formulated into frequent use shampoos that will help prevent dandruff re-appearing. Recommended usage is 0.5% - 2.0% in rinse-off products and 0.1% - 0.5% in leave-on products.

Dantuff-C - Broad spectrum anti-dandruff active

Dantuff-C is a conazole fungicide, clinically proven to attack the yeast responsible for dandruff formation. It promotes a balanced flora of micro-organisms and reduces scalp scaling back to normal levels. It is particularly effective in cases of fine dandruff.

Dantuff-C is easily dispersed in ethanol or propylene glycol prior to addition into aqueous systems, producing a transparent formulation. Typically used at acid pH, but also stable under mildly alkaline conditions. Recommended usage level is 0.5% - 2.0% in rinse-off formulations and 0.1% - 0.5% in leave-on products.

Vipirox - Anti-dandruff active


Vipirox is an extremely effective anti-dandruff active even at low inclusion levels of 0.1% - 1.0% for rinse-off and 0.05% - 0.2% for leave-on products. With wide-ranging solubility, it can be used in a variety of hair care formulations.

Uniquely for an anti-dandruff active, Vipirox can also increase the viscosity of surfactant systems, reducing the need for alternative thickeners in a formulation and aiding stability.
